Unfortunate timing, or not?
The Tennessean reports that a sex workshop for students titled “Brilliant in Bed” is set to take place on campus just one week after two Vandy football players were convicted of rape.
The event is described on its Facebook page: “Ready, Set, Best. Sex. Ever! Bone up on your boning basics with this comprehensive workshop, great for everyone from sexual novices to full-blown sexperts.”
The event is also expected to delve into safe sex and how to obtain consent.
The Tennessean reports:
… Molly Corn, a Vanderbilt senior and peer sex educator who is helping to plan the event, said she … hopes talking about sex will make her peers “comfortable with making their own decisions as they see fit.”
Corn, who also is a member of the student newspaper staff and an on-campus feminist group, said the students had no idea the event would fall a week after the guilty verdicts in a high-profile rape case against two former Commodore football players.
