U. Alabama adjunct who said Trump ‘had it coming’ last weekend no longer employed

‘They not only missed his large ass but they missed AAALLLL those people behind him too’

A University of Alabama adjunct professor is no longer employed following offensive remarks she made about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump last weekend.

According to 1819 News, Jennifer Collins, whose now-private Facebook page says she is an “unapologetically Queer Mom […] TreeHugger, Activist, Educator, Archivist, Librarian, Artist [and] Poet,” had posted “someone is a really lousy shot” regarding the July 13 incident in Pennsylvania.

“[T]hey not only missed his large ass but they missed AAALLLL those people behind him too,” Collins’ post continued. “Weird, huh? Weird there was no blood until he grabbed his own face. Could he follow the assassination plan handbook any closer?? I think not.”

Collins (pictured) concluded with “He had it coming, He had it comin, He only had himself to blame..If you’d have been thereIf you’d have seen itI betcha you would have done the same Pop, six, squish, uh-uh, trumpio, dipshitz Pop, six, squish, uh-uh, trumpio, dipshitz.”

1819 News subsequently reported that Collins, who had been listed on the university website, now no longer appears. A representative from UA’s Communications and Media Relations office would only tell the news outlet that Collins is a “former adjunct instructor and is not currently employed by the University.”

According to her Quora and (seemingly now-defunct) LinkedIn accounts, Collins taught “Holocaust Studies” at UA since 2013. She also works as a “librarian and media specialist” at a local school built around Howard Gardner’s (highly criticized) “multiple intelligences” theory.

On her (still-active) Quora page, Collins provides answers to various Holocaust-related queries such as “Who killed more people than Adolf Hitler?” and “If the USA was on Nazi Germany’s side, would they have won?

To the former, Collins says “Speaking to Genocide in a world proportion, European explorers, settlers, and eventual government agents killed over 100 million Indigenous Americans.” To the latter:

Not necessarily. As a Holocaust Scholar, part of my scholarship has been to study how America aided Germany and was complicit in the Holocaust. American scientists and doctors taught eugenics to German doctors beginning in 1929. America turned Jewish refugees away and developed a strict ant [sic] Semitic immigration policy beginning in 1938. Even after intelligence on the Final Solution showed what was happening in concentration and exterminitation [sic] camps, American had the power to stop it and didn’t.

She adds the Second World War “was won by a collective allied initiative which included the U.S. […] so, even if America had backed Germany, the Allies [sic] militaries would have still been triumphant.”
