Prime Minister Looks To Curb Sharia Law Practices At UK Universities
Universities in England have a recent history of allowing students to be separated by gender and only allowing men to ask questions verbally during certain lectures and meetings in an apparent appeasement to some Muslim customs and Sharia Law.

But that policy is so ridiculous even the prime minster has spoken out against it. The Telegraph reports:
Controversial guidelines which endorsed gender segregation at British universities are to be reviewed after a massive public backlash.

Universities UK, which last month said Muslim societies and other groups were entitled to practice gender segregation at public meetings on campus, said it would work with the equalities watchdog to look again at its guidance.

It came as David Cameron’s official spokesman said the Prime Minister disagreed with rules set out by the vice-chancellors’ body.

“He does not believe that guest speakers should be allowed to address segregated audiences, so he believes that Universities UK should urgently review its guidance,” said the spokesman

The spokesman made clear that the PM wants a ban on gender segregated audiences on campus even where men and women voluntarily separate themselves, but stressed that his comments did not relate to places of worship.
