A Duke University freshman has made national headlines for admitting she is a pornography actress, saying she does it to pay its roughly $60,000 annual costs.
Yet, in the midst of all this hoopla and notoriety is this little nugget that just came to light – she TURNED DOWN college scholarship offers so she could attend Duke.
“I was offered scholarships at a lot of places,” the student told RealClearEducation. “I was offered full tuition at Vanderbilt, for example, and was accepted into USC, Wellesley, Barnard, Pepperdine, some others.”
She was offered FULL TUITION to Vanderbilt University?!?!
But she said she is “very spiritual,” and an “energy” told her she just HAD to attend Duke as she toured the Duke Chapel during a programmed weekend for admitted freshmen. (Wow-there’s a can of worms I’m just not going to open right now).
At any rate, this is the same girl who is going around telling everyone that she’s doing porn because she can’t afford her tuition?
“Hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt is not something I want to carry around and it’s absolutely ridiculous that that’s what the state of our nation is,” she told RCE in bemoaning the costs of college.
Sorry, chick. But you’ve lost all credibility with your sob story, now. It just doesn’t add up.
