The president continued his tour of colleges this week at the University of Colorado, visiting a dive bar called The Sink, where one female student, Madalyn Starkey, posed for a slack-jawed picture with the Commander in Chief.
Another UC student, Kolbi Zerbest, managed to spill yogurt on the president.
The president’s visit to the campus was part of a tour of colleges he did this week, where he spoke (and rapped) about student loan policy. In addition to the University of Colorado, the president spoke at the University of Iowa and the University of North Carolina on his tour.
As a matter of pure coincidence, all of the schools the president visited are in election battleground states.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner called on the president to reimburse taxpayers for making obvious campaign stops in swing states and passing it off as government business. He called the president’s attempts to make student loan interest rates a campaign issue “pathetic,” and he said Obama’s actions have made the office of the presidency look “smaller.”
