‘He could also use some testosterone therapy,’ joked one panelist
A panel event Saturday featuring some of most prominent black conservatives in the nation was interrupted when vulgar protesters piped into its Zoom livestream and spewed cuss words before one man exposed himself masturbating.
The video of the event shows it went smoothly for the first 90 minutes, but then someone can be heard chanting over the audio then yelling “shut the f*ck up you fa**ot,” and “f*ck you” repeatedly. At one point it sounds like a female voice can also be heard, but it’s unclear.
The vulgarities continued until “a man exposed himself on the event’s Zoom link and began masturbating before organizers could shut down the feed,” News Talk 1130 reported.
The event, “Black Conservatism: The Past, Present, and Future,” was hosted by UW Madison’s Center for the Study of Liberal Democracy.
Prior to the interruption, the panelists discussed what “has led to the growing number of black voices on the right” and the issues and beliefs that unite the black conservative movement, the center states on its website.
“Unfortunately, we had to end the Zoom recording abruptly, as it was infiltrated by users displaying inappropriate content,” the center wrote on YouTube.
It featured Kali Fontanilla, founder of the Exodus Institute, Diante Johnson, president of the Black Conservative Federation, Wilfred Reilly, a political scientist at Kentucky State University, Carol Swain, a former Vanderbilt University law professor and prominent political pundit, and Bob Woodson, president of the Woodson Center.
When the vulgar protest took place, the panelists chuckled and kept their cool, including Woodson, who told the protester to relax and have a drink and a cigar.
“The left is so well coordinated, so they decided they are not going to protest us here, or risk themselves, they get online where they can hide and they do these things, and that’s where we are as a society,” Swain said. “…Whoever hijacked this program — or tried to — they haven’t really, they think they are doing something great. They’re so ignorant.”
“He could also use some testosterone therapy,” Reilly joked.
A day before the panel took place, left-leaning black students at the University of Wisconsin Madison held a townhall meeting to voice concern that they feel unwelcome on campus, the Daily Cardinal reported.
