The social Greek chapters of Kappa Alpha and Pi Kappa Phi got slapped on George Washington University’s sanctions list, the GW Hatchet reported.
Kappa Alpha is accused of hazing, following four other Greek chapters the school has sanctioned for the same reason since December, and Pi Kappa Phi got in trouble for “hosting unregistered parties with alcohol,” a far more common rationale for sanctions. The additions bring the total Greek-letter organizations on the list to 17.
The school won’t say whether Kappa Alpha will get to keep its townhouse, which it received only in February after another chapter got booted from campus for hazing, drug and alcohol violations and “thousands of dollars in damages” to the house, the Hatchet said.
GWU continues to refuse to provide details about Greek hazing or misconduct for any of the organizations on the sanctions list, the paper said.
