The Harvard Crimson reported that Harvard Law School professor Elizabeth Warren received good news this week with respect to her campaign for U.S. Senate. Two former rivals for the Democratic nomination have exited the race and are backing Warren. She also had a successful fundraising quarter:
“The endorsements are more about the Democratic Party getting behind Warren than delivering votes,” said Mass. Democratic strategist Mary Anne Marsh in an email, adding that Democrats now recognize Warren as the only candidate among their ranks able to take on Brown.
Warren hopes to defeat Republican incumbent Scott Brown, who won the seat during a special election in 2010.
