‘All the Western imperial bullies race to stand with the Genocidal Settler Colony’
A professor of Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Race, Ethnicity, Class and Gender at City University of New York recently referred to Israeli Zionists as “straight Babylon swine” and “arrogant racist bullies” in a now-deleted tweet on X (Twitter).
Danny Shaw, who according to his faculty page has “worked and organized in seventy different countries, opening his spirit to countless testimonies about the inhumanity of the international economic system,” also said Zionism is “beyond a mental illness” and a “genocidal disease.”
Although Shaw’s entire X account appears to be shut down, a cache of his tweets since Hamas’ slaughter of Israelis earlier this month shows the professor exclaiming (in a pinned tweet) “no to the extermin*tion of the Palestinian people” and that “all the Western imperial bullies race to stand with the Genocidal Settler Colony so they can divy up the spoils of their conquests.”
The professor also had a poll up asking “Who is the biggest bully in the world?” with the only choices being the United States and Israel.
“Palestine is Nat Turner 🇵🇸,” Shaw wrote in another tweet. “Israeli and the USA are the slavocracy 🇺🇸🇮🇱. Which side are you on? #Gaza_Genocide.”
In another featuring an image of Palestinian children he wrote “We go to sleep confident that we are on the right side of history. We never bullied or displaced anybody nor do we seek to.”

On his Facebook page, Shaw features photos of Tupac Shakur and Martin Luther King Jr. with the Palestinian flag and the hashtag #Palestine. He also asks “Did the Palestinians bomb their own #AlAhli_Baptist_hospital? Did the South Africans and Palestinians put themselves into Apartheid? Did the Gazans stuff themselves into the world’s largest ghetto? … Is it 1492?”
On October 19 Shaw “spearheaded” a class on “Zionism and the Palestinian Anti-colonial struggle” at Midwestern Marx Publishing. The class’s summary asks “Why is the indigenous population facing an extermination campaign? Who are the forces behind this genocidal onslaught? […] How are we, our anti-imperialist Jewish sisters and brothers across the world and an entire movement going to stop this U.S./Zionist genocidal campaign?”
The alleged Communist and Party for Socialism and Liberation organizer, as well as “mentor to many” who guides folks “through the nutritional, ideological, social and emotional landmines,” also believes Israel has a particular way to sell its “genocide”:
