The writing on the wall was pretty clear on this one: an academic, peer-reviewed journal on porn studies it set to debut next spring.
“Porn Studies needs your contributions,” the UK Guardian reported. “The Routledge academic periodical will debut next spring, and a call for papers appeared this week soliciting submissions for ‘the first dedicated, international, peer-reviewed journal to critically explore those cultural products and services designated as pornographic.’ ”
It’s just another in a long list of examples of how the academe continues to legitimize porn.
