A popular Swiss business professor was recently fired after he accidently showed porn to his class, including images of his “amputee” porn Internet search.
Apparently the veteran scholar was a distance-learning educator who had neglected to notice his computer was still hooked up to a projector that blared the images for the entire class to see.
“In the middle of class, porn videos were projected onto the blackboard,” reports 20 Minutes. “The teacher forgot to turn off the beamer watching these films. … They also saw how the teacher had surfed the net to find pictures of naked women with legs or arms amputated.”
School Director René Portenier told 20 Minutes he was “shocked” by the incident, that the teacher readily admitted the mistake and apologized to the class, and that the scholar had never had any problems in the past. Nevertheless, Portenier acknowledged students would be “disturbed” by the incident, and that disciplinary actions would be undertaken.
The professor in question has since been fired.
“We have 220 people who teach at home and never such a case has occurred,” the school’s chairman told 20 Minutes.
Complex reports professors accidently showing porn is sort of a thing now, noting: “Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a series of teachers showing students porn by mistake. There have also been incidents in Italy, the Philippines, and the U.S., though the amputee aspect does seem to be a first.”
