$83,000+ raised for frat bros who defended Old Glory from pro-Palestinian activists

‘These boys… no, men, of the UNC Chapel Hill Pi Kappa Phi, gave the best to America and now they deserve the best’

Pi Kappa Phi members at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill are going viral for defending the American flag during a recent protest – and they could end up with quite the party thanks to a fundraiser.

Videos and photos show the fraternity members raising the American flag off the ground during a pro-Palestinian event. The members were reportedly pelted with water bottles but held the line for an hour.

“These boys… no, men, of the UNC Chapel Hill Pi Kappa Phi, gave the best to America and now they deserve the best,” a GoFundMe fundraiser states. It has nearly $83,000 in less than a day.

“Help us raise funds to throw this frat the party they deserve, a party worth of the boat-shoed Broleteriat who did their country proud,” the organizer wrote.

The organizer contrasted the courage of the men with that of university administrators, writing:

Commie losers across the country have invaded college campuses to make dumb demands of weak University Administrators.

But amidst the chaos, the screaming, the anti-semitism, the hatred of faith and flag, stood a platoon of American heroes. Armored in Vineyard Vines and Patagonia, fueled by Zyn and White Claws, these triumphant Brohemians protected Old Glory from the unwashed Marxist horde — laughing at their shrieks and wails and shielding the Stars & Stripes from Soviet missiles.

“Brendan Rosenblum, a junior and Jewish student at UNC-Chapel Hill, had water bottles thrown at him as he stood in the middle of the quad by with an Israeli flag while protesters tried to replace an American flag with a Palestinian one,” Bryan Anderson reported yesterday. “Classes today have just been cancelled.”

The boys were saluted with support on social media.

“Patriots,” Senator Tom Cotton wrote.

“Students at UNC Chapel Hill protect the American Flag from pro-Hamas anti-American protesters who reportedly attempted to remove it,” LibsofTikTok wrote.

“I am now Pi Kapp’s biggest fan,” Daily Wire commentator Brett Cooper wrote.

Chants of “USA, USA, USA” also broke out after UNC officials restored order by having activists arrested for ignoring orders. Chancellor Lee Roberts led a team of law enforcement to the American flag and ultimately helped replace it, according to the Daily Tar Heel.

“This university doesn’t belong to a small group of protesters. It belongs to every citizen of North Carolina,” interim Chancellor Roberts told reporters. “Everybody in North Carolina, everybody who goes to school here, everybody who lives and works here,” Roberts said, according to Fox News. “The flag represents all of us.”

“Take down that flag, and put up another flag, no matter what flag it is – that’s antithetical to who we are, what this university stands for.”
